Ok, a little disclaimer before we start: Cassie is family. Cassie is super cool and Cassie just happens to be one of my favorite cousins. (Her twin sister Cori just happens to be another one of my favorite cousins.)
Anyhoo, let’s get this party started. This was my first western themed wedding! Shot on location in Cashmere, WA (think orchards, farms, and lots and lots of cowboy boots.) The ceremony took place at the Cashmere Museum and Pioneer Village, and the reception took place on the Chelan County Fairgrounds. The whole kit and caboodle was outdoors, and it was a beautiful, hot day. Hot day. Like, 106 degrees hot. A new experience for this photographer! But the bride and groom handled the blistering heat swimmingly. There were lots of water bottles on hand, and lots of shenanigans to be had. (Just keep scrolling.)
There were so many charming details for this wedding. Down to the boot socks and the wood circles that were used with vases for centerpieces.
The day started with the ladies in the wedding party getting ready. Cassie helped her younger sister Camryn with her eye makeup while her bridesmaids and flower girl had the finishing touches done for their looks.
For the ceremony, the museum set us up in the courtyard between the buildings that housed a saloon, a general store, and the like. It was the perfect backdrop for the country feel of the wedding. From the chalkboard program to the signs and wagon wheel picture displays…all of these personal touches really gave the ceremony a certain charm and sweetness.
Here we have the handsome groom. Justin is a doll with a big heart and such a gentleman. Oh and he is also hilarious. There were several times during this day that he had everyone laughing and cutting up and joining in the fun.
Due to time constraints, the bride and groom got their first look at each other shortly before the ceremony. As you can see, emotions were running high and I am so glad that I was able to capture such a touching moment between them.
Cassie likes to keep the guys on their toes!
See? Shenanigans. Don’t worry. No groomsmen were hurt in the taking of this photo.
I love what I do, I enjoy being part of a couple’s special day. Documenting a life changing moment that they can look back on for the rest of their lives. But when it is family it’s indescribable. To be able to be a part of Cassie and Justin’s day meant so much to me.
Mr. and Mrs. Parker. The Parkers.
Justin is a volunteer firefighter, and was able to borrow this sweet ride to deliver his bride to the reception.
Congratulations to Justin and Cassie. I am so glad I was a part of your special day, and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
