Tacoma Spring Wedding Expo

Tacoma spring Wedding expoWe had such a great time at the Tacoma Spring Wedding Expo this last weekend! I had my awesome Husband tag along and keep me company for the majority of it, he isn’t a photographer but it’s always fun to bring him along. We met so many sweet brides and their bridesmaids, I was impressed with how many Grooms came along too. I am hearing a lot of great feedback and setting up consultations left and right! Here is a full photo of my booth, thought it would be fun to do a little run down of what I included this time around! So many little things came together to make it so personal to me.

Here is a sign I had made by Ironside Garage over on Etsy, I LOVE it! I couldn’t bring myself to paint it like I had planned. I thought it added some sparkle, just need to add some lighting next time to really make it POP! My older sign to the right, a metal sign as well. I always loved the thought that what we do as photographers is truly stop time, it reads Stop time and capture it beautifully.Tacoma spring Wedding expoHere is an older album that I decided to use as art, not just for your coffee table, as I like to say! Albums can be customized to your style and will either have photos, leather or linen cover in quite a few different colors, textures and designs. I think albums are so SO important to have. Cd’s full of photos are great for safe keeping but an album with beautiful photos in your hands anytime you want, well that’s where it’s at.seattle wedding photographerNotice that lace? That’s my wedding dress! No, I didn’t cut it up! That’s the extra pieces from it being altered. I LOVE all things romantic, lace, bright, and colorful.

We were married on August 23rd 2008, that’s our wedding photo down below. Our wedding is one reason I’m so passionate about this career. I believe with all my heart that it is a true gift to be chosen as your photographer. Those photos are precious and must be captured correctly the first time, because there is no redo. We learned that the hard way and most all of my photos are blurry. I make it my ultimate goal to have no bride feel sadness when looking at her wedding photos, I want to go above and beyond and make your day beautiful, forever. Those two sweet little faces below our wedding photo, those are our two kids. Lucas and Natalie, another reason I am able to do what I love for a career and follow my dreams. I want to show them that if you have a dream, however hard to achieve it might seem, if you work hard enough you can do it and accomplish anything. I never thought I would be a small business owner and I have made many business mistakes along the way but I get to capture amazing moments for so many people that it makes the tough business side of things worth learning.tacoma wedding photographer Tacoma spring Wedding expoThe album above to right is an example of what I might do when a photo cover is requested. It is a custom 8×8 wedding album that is included in my Deluxe 8 Hour package, pretty sweet!

I think it’s great to show you how even your archival CD’s can be beautiful, the case below is one example of how they are specially made for each wedding. Couples can choose between dvd’s or USB’s.

Here Comes The Bride… This is actually a fabric sign our Ring Bearer held and walked down the aisle before me. The back says, “They Lived Happily Everafter…”seattle wedding photographerBooth wouldn’t be complete without my Ipad, well, who am I kidding my daughter has pretty much taken it over but ‘lets’ me use it for events, ha! Website ready to show and share with anyone who wanted to see more!tacoma wedding photographerMy booth was decorated with beautiful furniture from one owner of The Modern Cottage. Devon is amazing and has such a fabulous eye for decorating and customizing furniture pieces. I am so thankful for her kindness and generosity. Thank you, Devon!

Thanks again to all the brides, grooms, families, and friends who stopped by to talk shop, share details and even book with me that day and since! I offered 10% off at the show and am excited to share that there was such a great response I’ve decided to extend that promotion until April 30th. If you would like more information on packages and even destination weddings feel free to call and chat or use the contact tab above and we can set up a consultation. Can’t wait to capture your day!
